Today is one of the days where we have some homework to do.  Also some studying.  Please do your best to start as soon as possible and get everything done so you can have so free time tonight.

Hi Everyone,
Great job in the group work and our tableaux's today!  I'm very proud of you for working hard and producing quality work.  For those of you not quite up to speed, make sure you are on for the rest of the term!  Tomorrow you will be dispersed so make sure you have all the things you require before you go to your classes.  Have a good night and enjoy some of the art work by our wonderful artists!

Simile like a warm summer sun...

Hi Everyone,

We had an interesting day today, but we got a lot done.  In math, we aer learning about wasy to do mental math when dividing. We went over some shortcuts you can use and learned how to use base-ten blocks to model them.  In language, we went over main idea, hyperbole, and similes.  This will help us in our reading and writing.  Finally, we went over development in humans and the different types of development that people go through.  Tomorrow, we are going to present our tableaux of our fractured fairy tale of Little Red Riding Hood so be prepared.

Lead By Example

Hi Everyone,
Although it was my first day back, we did make a lot of progress covering all the material that was assigned over the past two days.  We are all caught up with math with the Grade 5s working on arrays to multiply, and the grade 6s looking at multiples, factors, and counting money.  In language, we continued with Purpose and Audience for media literacy and you all came up with a lot of great skit in a small amount of time.  Finally, in Drama, we learned about the stage and the use of height, positioning, contrast to emphasize certain characters we want the audience to focus on.  Overall, you did a great job in working hard and being attentive.

It's Friday, Friday...

Hi Everyone,
Today we had a busy day.  In math we learned about using mental math for 2 digit multiplication, and the grade 6s added on to that lesson and learned about factors, prime numbers, and composite numbers.  Then we had a reading test on Asking Questions which I hope you all did well on.  Finally after health and physical education, we had some time to do our two stars and a wish and our social studies webquest. 
I hope you all have a really restful weekend and remember to get all your work done.  By next week, you should have all your research done and have begun the report with your group.

Hi Everyone,
You know, and I know, that we hate to have the talk we had after our computer lab.  I was very disapointed at the effort and work you put forth during that time.  There were some of you that did a fantastic job and did what needed to be done.  But, ideally, it would be amazing to have all of you that productive! 
However, let's put the past behind us!  We'll start fresh tomorrow with a different attitude and a willingness to learn.  Have a great night and don't forget about the items below!

We had a wonderful presentation from your scientist today.  She did a fantastic job in getting the grade 6's ready for our new electricity unit.  Thank you to the grade 5s who worked incredibly well in their dispersed classes.  Let's remember our first and second rule as some of us are forgetting the importance of them.

Great first day!

Hi Everyone,
I hope you all enjoyed getting up bright and early and coming to school today!  You were all great!  I'm unable to post the webquest, but here is the link for that sight I showed all of you.  Also, I forgot to tell you that the scientist in the school will be here for the grade 6s in the morning.  So that means the grade 5's will be dispersed.  For homework, just the Chapter review for Chapter 5 and your new years resolution for 2012.  Have a great night and see you all tomorrow!
